US Open Semifinal Federer vs Djokovic Live:
Four time defending Champion Roger Federer entered into a record 18th consecutive Grandslam semifinal with 32 consecutive match wins at US Open, after defeating Qualifier Gilles Muller 7-6(5),6-4,7-6(5) in the quarterfinals.He is a step closer to his 5th consecutive US Open title which would equal Bill Tilden's record of 5 consecutive US open titles & 42 successive match wins.He will now face World No.3 Novak Djokovic in the semifinals.
Last year's finalist Novak Djokovic defeated Andy Roddick 6-2, 6-3, 3-6, 7-6(5) in the quarterfinals to set up a rematch with Federer, whom he lost in last year's final in straight sets.If Djokovic who has been ranked 3rd since July 2007 will become No.2 if he wins US Open.Andy Roddick after being two sets down fought back winning the 3rd set & was leading 5-4, 30-0 & serving in the fourth set but double faulted twice & finally the set was tied 5-5.
Federer will certainly look to reach his 17th Grandslam final,win his 13th Grandslam & have a good end to his season.Djokovic the 2008 Australian Open Champion is very good form at present a poses a real threat to Federer in the upcoming semifinals.
