World No.1 Roger Federer powered into his sixth consecutive US Open Final with a straight sets 7-6(3), 7-5, 7-5 victory over Serbian Novak Djokovic.It was Federer's 40th straight victory at Flushing meadows, both players had their chances, Djokovic has a 4-2 lead in the first set but failed to consolidate his break to allow Federer win the first set.Soon Federer raised his games & dominated rest of the match two close out in 3 tight sets.

He will next face Argentine Juan Martin Del Potro who raced into his maiden grandslam final with upset straight sets 6-2, 6-2, 6-2 victory over Rafael Nadal.The last time they played was at the semifinals of Roland Gaross where Del Potro had 2 sets to 1 lead but Federer fought back to win the match, prior to that in five encounters he had not even taken a set off Federer.

After a tricky third round match, World No.1 & 5 time US Open Champion Roger Federer powered into the quarterfinals outplaying Spaniard Tommy Robredo in straight sets (7-5,6-2,6-2).In the opening set Robredo came up with some good game but Federer raised his game persistently as he struck 35 winners to just 18 unforced errors to wrap up the match in one hour and 48 minutes.
